Hemiartroplastias urgentes de cadera por abordaje anterior

Introducción: Las fracturas intracapsulares del fémur superior obligan al tratamiento quirúrgico individualizado. La hemiartroplastia de cadera ofrece un período de cuatro o cinco años de buena función y poco dolor.
Objetivo: Evaluar los resultados de la hemiartroplastia de cadera a través de abordaje anterior pasados uno, tres y seis meses.
Métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo-prospectivo en pacientes con diagnóstico de fracturas intracapsulares del fémur superior desplazadas, estadios iii y iv de Garden, a quienes se les realizó hemiartroplastia de cadera a través de un abordaje anterior.
Resultados: El Harris Hip Score y la Escala Visual Analógica del dolor mejoraron considerablemente en los períodos analizados.
Conclusión: La hemiartroplastia de cadera a través de abordaje anterior ofrece buenos niveles de satisfacción, y permite el regreso del paciente a sus actividades cotidianas, con escaso dolor y baja incidencia de complicaciones.
