Historical review of surgical treatment of scoliosis in Cuba

Knowledge of the history of surgical treatment of scoliosis in Cuba is useful for understanding the arduous work of its main proponents. Therefore, the objective of this article is to present the key moments of surgical treatment of scoliosis in the country. Experts who experienced relevant events related to the topic were interviewed, and various national and international databases were searched for historical milestones that marked the course of scoliosis surgery in Cuba, from its beginnings to the present.
